In honor of reaching 50,000 fans on The Garfunkel and Oates Facebook Page, there is a contest where G&O fans will be able to step into the shoes of the ladies and have a chance to win something special.

The G&O 50K challenge!

No, not a run – just fun.

There are two ways to enter:

1) Head over to The Garfunkel and Oates YouTube Channel and choose your favorite video. Once you’ve selected a video you like, grab a friend and create you own video for your favorite song! Be creative, be your best and HAVE FUN!

You can make your own version of the music, use any track off any album or utilize the karaoke tracks available for sale on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby.

When you’ve created your video, upload it to YouTube as a video response to the video you chose for all to see and “like” and send a link to your video to [email protected]

From the entries, some will be selected by various methods and the best of those will be determined by vote and creative consideration and the winning video will win a special prize!

THE SECOND WAY TO ENTER:

2) Send a photo of you and a friend in your best attempt to resemble Garfunkel and Oates! Who will be Kate? Who will be Riki? Make it cool and creative! What situations could the ladies find themselves in?

Send the photos to [email protected] with the subject 50K Challenge and look for them posted on the G&O Facebook page.

DETAILS:

There will be separate winners from each category. You can enter both but you can only be the winner of one category (photo or video). Entries will be voted on and the entries in each category with the top “likes” will be eligible for the top prize. The winner in each category will be determined by both popularity and creativity.

Don’t send something in you don’t want shared. If you send it, you give permission to post it.

Multiple entries will be considered, but only one entry per person will be featured.

The contest starts when you read this and ends at 11:59 pm on Sunday, July 31st.

Though there will be several factors in deciding the winner, the final decision is with G&O. Encourage your friends to participate in the voting phase, but anyone caught cheating during this phase will be disqualified. No BOTS!

Finally, there is no other compensation for this contest other than any prizes determined to be distributed by G&O for this contest. You don’t have to buy anything to participate but if you do, it’s at your own expense.

These shows always sell out, so make sure to get your tickets early. Don’t get stuck on the wrong side of the gate.
