Such a shame that our second-class citizen roles have made us see each other as competition rather than given us the drive to support each other.

    Sad, so sad.

When I was pregnant, I wasn’t snug. I was nauseous, dealing with people who looked down at me, and in the midst of loosing my job simply because this meant I was no longer like the 25 year olds who could work late hours and weekends, 24/7, answering to beck and call.

    So who is smug now?

  6. dave says:

I wanna pretend to make Kate smug but I’d still be giddy with a smootch and a hug.
Would Kate have any Beethoven piano sonatas recorded to share?
    Good job, you guys! Thanks!

  7. Karez says:

Lighten up! It’s all in good fun.

  8. RC says:

No one likes smug pregnant women. Even pregnant women. X3

I kinda want to see a song addressing those creepy belly touchers. Like being pregnant gives everyone permission to invade personal space, pry into privacy and give unwanted “advice”.

  9. Vickie says:

and exposure! Keep up the amazing works guys I’ve incorporated you guys to our

Hey everyone, take a look 7 Jan 2014 Discover magazine article “Smug Couples Patronize Singles to Feel Better About Themselves.”

Garfunkel and Oates just about hit the nail on the head with their song “Pregnant Women are Smug”.

Funny sweet ladies, I get it it’s all in fun, I get it that it’s unlikely anyone normal would think all pregnant people are smug just because of a comedy bit, but please write another one attacking the mommy bashers who don’t seem to think a pregant woman or new mom should show any sign of happiness or anticipation, just pop on a tunic and not mention anything baby related for nine months for fear someone will attack her with some version of “who do you think you are lady”. I don’t think these girls would appreciate some of the places the clip is being reposted.

  12. Bethany says:

A friend shared this on Facebook yesterday, and I immediately thought of you guys (especially #1)!
